Some years ago, when Bill was running for reelection, I got to know a woman who worked for the campaign and who knew Hillary pretty well. She described her as super intelligent, organized, disciplined, but also warm, caring and very funny. She said that Hillary comes off stiff in public because she's been burned so many times. She's learned to be guarded because she knows that anything she says can and will be used against her or her husband. It's a pity that she doesn't allow her "natural" self to come through more often. I think that if she did more people would realize that she is quite personable and not the caricature that she was made out to be by the right wingers and the media.
