to the question in the ad instead of a few words from different sentences? That would be the thing to do if he was questioning her stance on an issue. Bits and pieces of answers don't reflect what she was trying to say - it forces the viewer to the opinion of the ad. If viewers could hear the whole context of the question and answer, they could make their own mind up about whether she was waffling or not.
