You should consider it as a separate post and put it in front of people's consideration. Likely there'd be a wide, wide range of responses from 'Terrific, let's do it right now' to 'Hell no, it would never work.'

Gore - Boxer. You know, the hour is late for Gore as you say, but the Nobel Prizes are announced over the next ten or twelve days, I think. It's not out of the question that Gore would win the Peace Prize for his work on the environment and it would be a persuasive backdrop for an announcement for a presidential run.

If he ran he'd have a good chance at the nomination and would then choose someone he wanted in his administration and wouldn't have to do any odd JFK/LBJ pairings.

I see no reason at all why it couldn't be Barbara Boxer and I would love to vote for that ticket. From an environmentally conscious voter's point of view, it couldn't get much better than that.
