17. I know. It's just
the idea that society -- moms and dads on all sides -- have to such an extent accepted the notion that this is somehow something that their children should aspire to. My "grown-up" job is teaching, and it truely (truly?) saddens me to see 6th graders -- SIXTH GRADERS -- coming to school in t-shirts covered with rhinestone-encrusted pictures of $100 bills and proclaiming them to be a "Millennium Hustla" or whatever. Sixth graders. These kids don't have jobs...mom is buying this crap for them.
