there are two lines of defense they have to get through- the minority party, and then ChimpCo.

If Gore was in the White House, it would just be a matter of bulldozing the Congressional minority to get things done. Considering that the Republicans are probably going to lose even more seats in '08, the Dems would likely be in the same situation that the Republicans were in from 2002 to 2006- a very good one. I can't imagine them complaining at that point.
