Thank you, General Clark, for shaking up the democratic nomination race. Your military credentials helped restore a certain respect for democrats in this post 9/11 world.

You could have continued as others are doing, but you feel it now important to be active in the campaign by stumping for Democrats in the South and other swing states and serving as an adviser on national security issues.

Aides say you will also work to nudge the Democrats toward a more aggressive stance in challenging President Bush on issues of national security, faith, patriotism and values for the party.

You want us to win!

I will now throw my support behind the man who was at one time my first choice - John Kerry.

There should be a place for a man with your talent and credentials in the Kerry administration.
