OK, I know this guy is an obvious asshat, but wow. Just wow. I'm impressed by how big of an asshat he is. The bar was set pretty high by O'Reilly, Limbaugh and Coulter, but D'souza has outshined them all.

To actually accuse "the Left" (because we're so powerful and sinister) of wanting to "work with the enemy abroad in order to defeat the enemy at home." Wow. Just wow. People have implied this in the past. People have danced around it. But that was mainly during the start of the war. That was before the Republicans fucked up everything possible. To do it now, shows either remarkably poor judgement or more likely, prudent business sense. Just say outrageous shit in a book and launch a career as an extreme right-wing pundit. The more outrageous the better. Who knew who this guy was before he started blaming the Liberals for 9/11?

Here is interesting paragraph from his article:

"If Bush is defeated in Iraq he could go down in history with a reputation as bad as Nixon's and conservative foreign policy could be set back for another generation. Some on the left may be quite willing to give up the whole Middle East for this."

Give up the Middle East? Oh, I didn't realize it was ours. When did we get it? As for Bush's tarnished reputation, I wonder if his administrations' actions had anything at all to do with that. I wonder if the cronyism, corruption, sex scandals, fear mongering, bullying, etc etc etc had ANYTHING at all to do with his low approval ratings. Or the fact he put us in a war with no plan for victory and for the wrong reasons. I wonder if that might be why the number of people discussing impeachment are increasing every day?

Robert Novak, move over. Dinesh D'Souze has seized your throne: Douchebag of the Year.
