Lamont in the Green Mountain State

Ned Lamont in the Green Mountain State
Ned Lamont made his way up to Burlington, Vermont this past weekend and spent some time with staff and supporters at DFA headquarters on Friday evening. DFA members gathered to hear the details of Ned's primary win. Ben Cohen (of Ben & Jerry's and TrueMajority) even stopped by to offer his congratulations (and ice cream) for Ned.

Lamont, Jim Dean, and Ben Cohen.

Everyone then gathered at Union Station in downtown Burlington where Jim Dean, DFA Chair, introduced Ned.

Ned had this to say to the crowd:

"I want people to turn out because they have something to vote for, I don't want to be anti-anything. We had 30,000 Democrats register to vote right before the primary. We had one of the highest turnouts around and I think that's because people have something to believe in. It's hope, it's change, and I mean to deliver on that."
