24. they probably don't differ much on the issues
I'm basing that supposition on McKinney's reputation and her support on DU and a glance at Johnson's website.

I understand your point, and it is especially important in general elections, when voters often dismiss true substantive issues in favor of silly ones. (true story -- I was canvassing for Kerry and a woman told me that she was voting for bush because he was "pro-choice." I politely corrected her and she said, "oh. well, I'm voting for him anyway.") But in this case, I doubt McKinney and Johnson would vote differently on much, if anything.

If I were a voter in that district, I would have to base my vote on who I thought would do a better job representing me on fairly superficial issues because I don't believe substantive issues would differ much.
