100. Dem's security plan calls for "SIGNIFICANT TRANSITION" in Iraq in '06!
...and it's because of weaseling Kerryesque rhetoric like this that Dem gains in the mid-term elections will be minimal.

The argument that the Repig base will be energized by Democrats calling for censure is itself a rhetorical pitch which is unlikely to materialize in the real world. The Repig base is demoralized by Bush's failures, but are devoted voters and will turn out in their usual numbers.

Impeachment isn't a real prospect anyway, with Cheney, Hastert and Rice in the line of succession after Bush, but censure MIGHT have impressed voters with the fact that Democrats adhere to traditional American principles -- IF the truth about the measure, and the issues behind it, could be shouted over the corporate-whore talking heads of the media. We have managed to do that at times, you know.

If you're betting money on the '06 outcome, yes, bet on the Repigs maintaining control of Congress, because the Democrats are blowing it, right now. The real question may be: who will replace Pelosi and Reid in '07?
