And you know this how?

Feingold has always followed his convictions, even when he was a lone voice. He may also want to run for president. So? Suddenly his habit of independence is just an indicator that he may run? I don't think so.

"Tone it down for another couple months until after the elections" = just what the Republican Party wants.

Sorry, I'm not buying what you're selling. The Republican base is shrinking, thanks to Georgie-boy's foolishness, and Feingold is keeping accountability -- something more and more interesting to "the base" -- on the table. Works for me, and for many others.
