that he's a "war president", and that war presidents always have the authority to suspend civil rights in order to run the war. The problem here is that he came to office itching for a war and didn't take long to start an illegal and immoral war thus giving him the right, perhaps even the obligation, to suspend our civil rights in pursuit of his own ends.
