I would imagine that will be the case, not that you will have to debate him. Your plan should be to ask the most damning question, one that doesn't give him a lot of wiggle room, and one which is embellished with a lot of irrefutable facts. I think the best thing to do is google anything he has written about "American foreign policy post 9/11", he may have even done versions of this speech before. Then you can pick some favorite talking point of his to nail him on.
