do the exact same degree that I believe the "official stories" of Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman

which is to say, not at all

I've always assumed it was shot down, simply because of the PR value of the "official" story

plus, a few weeks later, they did mention here & there that they would have shot it down, had it not crashed
