I agree that the validity of both elections is very questionable.

I'm trying to think in the here and now, and Democratic leadership needs to do the same. If the past elections were corrupted then Democrats must strive to win with undisputable margins. The key issue being winning Congress in 2006.

The real important things to Americans are healthcare, loss of jobs, declining wages, Iraq, declining standard of living, loss of US status and many other related economic issues. They aren't the things that have divided the country that Democrat leadership often gravitates towards.
