39. Hello, I started some edits
I think made for a little smoother read with more "action-y" language:

Providence, RI – U.S. Senate Candidate Carl Sheeler (D-RI) has challenged his Democratic running mates, Sheldon Whitehouse and Matt Brown, to support him in calling on Congressmen James Langevin and Patrick Kennedy to stand with US Representative John Conyers (D-MI) in his impeachment proceedings.

Sheeler, a Marine veteran and self-described 70’s style Democrat, tirelessly called, since July 2005, for the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq; opposed the nomination of Alito due to dictatorial expansion of executive power; and, he recently had posted a billboard along I-95 that has an image of the U.S. Constitution and declares “Be Patriotic. Impeach Bush.”

Taking his challenge further, Sheeler has adlibbed Senator Lincoln Chafee’s Republican Primary opponent, Stephen Laffey: “In at least one thing, I agree with Mayor Laffey. Let’s be 'the smallest state with the largest voice' and be the first 'blue state' to unify behind a resolution that calls for the impeachment of President Bush.” ...

I ran out of steam at this point.

Some questions/concerns of mine:

Is "70's style Democrat" a well-known term? I was in kindergarten in '79 but I'm guessing that "70's style Democrat" might translate to "Democrat with balls."

It's not clear to me where all the quotation marks should be in the third paragraph.

In the first paragraph what do you mean by "running mates?" I've come to associate that term with VP candidate.

Thank you for running, and thanks for posting here.
