21. Hold on there, Baba Looie...
So many 'right-thinking' (take that either way) people stand up and proudly proclaim that "I've got nothing to hide!"
Well, maybe. But do you really want ALL your private telephone, cel phone, and personal conversations, emails to friends, family, office workers spread out to view for a bunch of NSA voyeurs?

Consider for a minute all the subjects that come on the tapis:
The latest dirty joke. The hot new employee down in Accounting. The blind date last night who really was a disaster. The family member with a chronic illness. The child who is having difficulties in school. The joys of being a member of a dysfunctional family. The fight you had with your spouse...or conversely, the excellent and affectionate relationship you have with this person. The list of stuff you need to pick up on the way home...thanks, honey.
All the little things that aren't necessarily 'wrong' but you would prefer not to have them out on Front Street.

Rest assured, gang...these people will not view your life dispassionately, scientifically, or compassionately. Do you really want these agents treating your life with derision and contempt?
Because it's going to happen, you good little Americans.
It's gonna be Reality TV, but you won't be getting paid dime one...in fact, if you look at it, you are the one paying for the privilege.

Seriously, think about it for a minute. Does allowing the government to set you up on public display like a zoo exhibit really mean that you are a Patriot? Or are you something else?
