The fact is that America may disagree with a particular war like they did with Viet Name and now with Iraq, but that doesn't equate to wanting a leader who will cut tail and run when the going gets tough. People compartmentalize the attributes they want in a leader. In bush's case, people know he's a brain addled fuck up, but they like his determination. They (American voters) see that as a strength not a weakness.
