for those warring factions in Iraq who argue that we are full of shit, just there to steal their oil. I am not advocating that we should impeach Bush/Cheney for the sole reason of making Iraq happy, they have given us plenty of reasons to impeach them.

Regarding gifts, sometimes a gift that is beneficial to a recipient will not necessarily make them happy. For example new clothes for your child when they wanted an XBOX instead. Furthermore, I am not advocating picking their leader as your Karl Rove example implies. I am advocating putting our money where our mouth is. We are trying to preach democracy to them while our own administration trashes the democracy we claim to stand for? Does this not seem ironic to you?
