I'm having some doubt about whether this will hurt the Dems in 06. The Bush ship is gaining water. When defensive Republicans feel that they or the team they feel is theirs is under attack, they get all selfrighteous. They cover their ears and eyes. They go with the party. But they are losing faith with the corrupt GOP. I'm concerned that impeachment procedings (which will never get far with this congress) could undo the disillusionment Republican citizens feel with their so-called representatives. Maybe GOP votes against the impeachment of the King will lok bad for them in 06. But it may backfire bigtime and make Repub voters stick with "their side" in a way that they might not be inclined to do without the attack.
