38. Our handicapping continues to royally suck
Negative ads are the last thing we need. I'm amazed this even needs to be explained. Every cent that MoveOn organization spent last year was wasted, monumental ignorance.

Stop pretending their gameplan will work for us. The GOP is trying to energize and expand the angry and narrow minded, people who thrive on hate. We are trying to rescue the support of thoughtful but conflicted middle class married white women. That is the only voting block that matters. Every study indicates our fortunes are directly tied to how they vote, and they drifted away from us partially due to Monica and mostly due to 9/11 and national security fears. Negative ads don't mean squat to that group. The questions you hear are not, "Who do you hate and why?," but, "What do you stand for and why is that best for the country ?" If we continue to ignore the baseline truths behind the need to answer the latter question, we'll continue to run masochistic negative ads, and run second.
