I thought Women's rights mattered?

Apparently not to Gerecht (from the American Enterprise Institute who appeared on MTP today.

Blondesense tipped me off to this clip: "Gerecht pointed out that women didn't have the right to vote in the US in 1900, and if Iraqi democracy looked like US democracy circa 1900 everyone would be thrilled. Then he said that women's social rights in Iraq is not really that important.”
