The longer this drags on the more likely it is that members of his own party who are hearing from their constituents are going to be urging him to meet with her. I'm surprised Rove has let it go on this long and gain the momentum it has. Now it's reached the point where his excuses look feeble and pathetic, but he'd still rather have a hot poker up his ass than talk to her. When he finally agrees to give her a few minutes of his precious time, the question is going to be, "What took you so long?"
