35. MoveOn started it

Dean benefitted greatly from MoveOn early intervention and promotion and DFA's purpose differs greatly from WesPAC though both have made contributions to DNC candidate's campaigns but in different ways, so there is really no need to denigrate Wes Clark's PAC, because it's misinformation that's misleading.

FYI to DUers, General Clark's PAC is very active as evidenced by his travels to the Middle East and across the country to speak out against Bush's PNAC foreign policy -- and its mission statement is to focus on challenging the Bush administration's foreign policy issues.

Even so, during the election season and even afterwards, Clark supporters donated an exceptional amount to candidates directly on Wes Clark's guidance. DFA has a different focus than WesPAC, though both funnelled money to the same winning (and losing) campaigns. Many candidates publicly acknowledged the contributions from Clark supporters, too, though Clarkistas generally don't brag as a rule.

WesPAC was never meant to channel money to candidates though its website.
Clarkistas always donated directly to the candidates' websites and indicated so.
