but I paid especially close attention to this part and he supported choice. He definitely said that abortion should be one of the choices a woman has. He pointed out that abortion has gone up during Bush's administration because they limited access to ALL the choices including counseling, adoption, and birth control advice. He was so rational that he made a very good impression. He certainly managed to convey that Democrats didn't equate getting an abortion to deciding which set of shoes to buy. This is how the Pro Life faction is so effective in this issue. They've managed to make Pro Choice sound like a dinner menu. He moved the debate away from that.

What he said was Safe, Legal, and Rare. I thought he very effectively did some reframing to say that you had to include after the child was born. He mentioned the lack of insurance for 11 million children.
