The GOP sees him as extremely vulnerable in 2006. They've already got the race targeted, and there's a lot of "interest" among several key Repubs in MN.
However, this is not 2000, when the Dems were underfunded, underorganized and overwhelmed. We have some SOLID grassroots organizations in this state who want to keep this Senate seat Democratic. The Minnesota DFL (Democratic-Farmer-Labor) party had a decent year in 2004, carrying the state for Kerry AND keeping the state senate, narrowing the GOP majority in the state house to 2 votes, retaining all our congressional seats, AND coming within a few points of defeating a two-term incumbent congresscritter.
We're on a roll in MN...keep your eyes peeled.
