I only caught a few minutes this morning before work, and unfortunately that was during Lieberman's verbal love letter for Condi.

I waste no time worrying about crazy Zell Miller's defection-without-official-action antics. Unfortunately, Lieberman, by comparison, appears to relatively sane, at least to the average American who does not follow politics and current events beyond the corporate-spun nightly news.

Lieberman's no nutcase, just driven by interests that do not always dovetail with those of his own constituents, much less the rest of the American public. He will do anything he perceives to be "good for Israel" yet his actions are even counter to the best interests of most of the Israeli public, who would rather have peace with the Palestinians than further the hard right-wing agenda of their own government that is oh-so-familiar to what we have right here at home now.
