That's your reason why they should cave? Okay, I just don't get that. Throw your principles down the toilet because it won't make any difference anyway? THAT in a nutshell, is why dems are in the minority in congress.

There you have it ladies and gentleman.... that ridiculous, stupid idea that voters don't care if pols stick to their principles. How wrong that is. How utterly wrong. And it IS the key to why we lose.

If we learn nothing else from George Bush we should learn this -- voters will vote for people whose agenda they completely disagree with IF they think they are principled.

It's just that simple. And until Dems throw off expediency in exchange for principles we will never again be in power.
