17. This Is Rooted DEEP Within Christian Theology "Dominionism". Here's Why:

No one should be shocked by the abhorrent actions of "reverend" Dobson as this kooky belief of man's divine right to dominate all animals on the planet and the planet itself is very, very biblical and this is something that progressive christians need to confront with themselves.

I think that Chief Seattle was a little brighter than Jehovah on this issue, folks. Certainly, I agree with his instructive words for the white Europeans who ravaged the "New" World, " Earth does not belong to man; man belongs to the earth."

You decide.

In any event, here is just a sprinkling of the biblical justifications that would inspire the actions by the money-grubbing James Dobson.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 9:2 And the FEAR OF YOU and the DREAD OF YOU shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; INTO YOUR HAND ARE THEY DELIVERED.

Palsms 8:5-9. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou hast made him a little less than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour: And hast SET HIM OVER the works of thy hands. THOU HAST SUBJECTED ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET, all sheep and oxen: moreover, the beasts also of the fields. The birds of the air, and the fishes of the sea, that pass through the paths of the sea.
