13. Compelling Reason to KEEP PROTESTING
I posted a similar message on the opposing "stop the vote challenge stuff", but my major concern is putting integrity into the voting process. It's a shame about Gore and Kerry, but how will progressives ever regain a majority politically if the voting process can be manipulated--and goddamn it, the RW's said they were going to do it!

A paper trail is a paramount concern whatever the voting machine happens to be. ATMs, credit card gas pumps, etc. give paper receipts as bona fides that a transaction took place. WTF is the matter with doing the same with voting machines? There is ample evidence that disenfranchisement is practiced, and it needs to be severely punished by jail time with clearly defined descriptions as to what disenfranchisement is AND leave a loophole for judges to jail the creative assholes who fringe around the definitions.

For a start, these two guarantees: 1. paper trail; 2. jail time for disenfranchisement practices, will help get elections somewhat back in balance.

I cannot see much of a political future for America if election fraud isn't snuffed out.
