I wish it were a possibility, but...

They're not "showmen" who are adept at sloganeering & manipulation

They sometimes say things people don't want to hear - i.e., they don't baptize popular culture nor are they as complicit with it

They don't aim their message to the lowest common denominator (intellectually speaking) - it presupposes that the listeners can think logically

They don't have wealthy benefactors bankrolling them - those benefactors are too busy trying to salvage the country (and world) from the Republican juggernaut

There are numerous other reasons, but

The bottom line is that it's the bottom line, stupid (no personal offense to you, of course)!
