My problem with wait and see is that the Democratic leadership does not seem to understand the power of language. The rhetoric is important. Extending your hand to the opposition, even rhetorically is not a powerful gesture.
We lost this fight but there are several fights just around the corner. Instead of reaching out to the pubs (who are just going to bite your hand off) let's lay out our opposition to the right in clear, unequivocal language.
Making nice hasn't worked in the past. Why should we expect it to work now?
