121. Washington no Contest: Kerry
The primary was the first in WA to require declaring voters declare a party affiliation for the primary (something that WILL get overturned with a referendum, by all counts), but it provided some interesting data - Dems were solid blue through Seattle and much of the east side (except for a few yuppie enclaves near Microsoft land). Issaquah, the easternmost town in King County and a remarkably accurate bellweather for presidential elections for the last twenty years, was as blue as it could be. I don't know how the rest of the state is trending (though I've heard Spokane was blue as well), but Kerry WILL take Washington hands down.
