Here, when Bush refers to the Dred Scott U.S. Supreme Court decision, GWBush is *wink* *wink* saying that Roe v. Wade is very bad law and will be over-turned just as the Dred Scott case was bad law and was subsequently over-turned.

Dred Scott was a slave who had lived in the free state of Illinois and the free territory of Wisconsin before moving back to the slave state of Missouri, had appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court in hopes of being granted his freedom. The U.S. Supreme Court opined that Dred Scott was not a "citizen" w/i the meaning of the U.S. constitution and therefore he had no right to sue and his case could not be heard; and that no State could grant him any citizenship or the rights and privileges of a citizen.

The case is DRED SCOTT v. SANDFORD, 60 U.S. 393 (1856)(this was b4 the Civil War and the enactment of the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments):
