34. This doesn't necessarily indicate LIHOP/MIHOP.
5 hours after 9/11, I wanted to destroy the middle east.

Of course, not a rational response. What I decided was that Islam is a barbarous religion that needed to be dealt with: Islamic countries treat women as property, punish blasphemy and apostasy with death, and publish anti-Jewish propaganda in government media. (E.g., the blood libel, in Saudi newspapers; a serial dramatization of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, on Egyptian television.) I thought, yes, we should do a WWII-scale war against the region, dismantle all the Islamo-fascist power structures. Else, I thought, it's only a matter of time before an act of nuclear terrorism happens on US soil. I thought, no politician could be forgiven if that were to happen after we failed to act decisively.

Again, this is what I thought in the weeks after 9/11. I calmed down, later -- by October 2002, I had contacted my congressmen to ask them to vote against the war resolution for Iraq.

I don't believe in LIHOP/MIHOP. I do believe in EIOP: Exploited It On Purpose.
