The horizontal puffs appear to be the result of secondary charges, while the main charges were blasting core columns.
This photo shows pairs of columns, connected by lateral supports, being chopped up into sections.  Another view, perhaps a moment later, shows this horizontal bracing being blasted.  A view of a perimeter corner column.  |
