Because of the threat of retaliation by Hamas the ENTIRE country is under alert. The organizers are smart enough to know that having the parade would leave them vulnerable to the ultra-Orthodox protesters, as well as an attack by Hamas. The parade was all set to go until the incident claiming the lives of 19 innocent civilians. The ultra-Orthodox had NOTHING to do with the change of venue!
