The accused in the Boeremag trial still have to contend with "black music" blaring through the speakers of the jail's public address system.
However, the judge in the case has come up with a suggestion which could help put an end to the "psychological torture" of the accused, while keeping fans of Metro FM happy as well.
To this end, Judge Eben Jordaan on Tuesday made a "friendly request" to the C-Max prison authorities to disconnect the loudspeakers closest to the cells of the accused. If this line of action was taken, it would be possible for them to listen to whatever they wanted on their own radios, he said.
