Please note that the rate of serious crime (including murder) has fallen for the last 15 years, even as the number of firearms in civilian hands has gone up by well over 100,000,000. This does not prove that "more guns = less crime," but it fails to prove the old hack expression (still adhered to by many centrist Democrats) "more guns = more crime."
