Gun Laws Changing? (Reducing minimum age for CCW in Missouri )

Missouri has the nation's oldest minimum age requirement for concealed weapons, but that soon could change.

Some state lawmakers want to lower the minimum age to 21, down from 23.

Of 48 states that have concealed carry laws, about two-thirds have set the age limit at 21 years.

Critics worry a change may compromise the agreement lawmakers made in 2003 when they set the minimum.

A loophole in the current law allows 21- and 22-year-olds to receive a concealed gun permit in Florida or Utah and have it recognized in Missouri.
