Sukarnoputri too busy to meet with Howard

Indonesia says its President will be too busy to meet the Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, when he visits Bali next month to mark the first anniversary of the bombings.

The Indonesian Foreign Minister, Hassan Wirajuda, has told a regular parliamentary hearing that Mr Howard had wanted to discuss terrorism cooperation with Megawati Sukarnoputri.

Mr Wirajuda says Mrs Megawati will be tied up with a visit by the Algerian President on the weekend of October 12.

Asia's way of saying Fuck you to someone they don't like.
