43. Poison pill.
Have we engineered a poison pill economic model so tempting yet utterly toxic, none can resist? The reason we ask this question is the reality of the moment does not met with the caution it deserves. According to our good fellas in the great white bunker, things are slow but not so slow as to warrant consideration of dramatic cuts in spending. They or their close friends put huge sums in the farm bill and then gassed a veto to no where. Both the Ben in the road and the rest of the Plunge Protection Team have screeched themselves hoarse looking for buyers. What they have for sale was once owned by the members of the Rising Sun Two Stroke Club. Those were the days before the dollar/yen co-habitation was deemed unholy. Today, good citizens, we will gladly embrace yuan's from Mr. Mao's All Stars. Has time changed? Or is this another sucker's bait and switch deal in the making?
Come buy our companies. Come on down and let's make a deal. Name that tune. Big money. Sound familiar? Dress up like a pirate, a crown prince, Odd-job, Taurus Bulba for that matter; just get over here and place your bets. The RS2SC paid big bucks for TV land and now they have a stultified economy. How did that happen? The friends of the party screwed them big time that's how. We are the master's of inflation are we not? Junk bonds? Savings and Loans? CDOs? Hedge funds? Now who says we are not competitive? I pick hedge funds for 100 billion. The answer is who stole the pension funds?
So now who comes along into the web they weave? Yes, comrades, the Mao All Stars and the Robed Ones no less. And none too soon. Just how the good old boys and their party of friends will get these folks to drop some big bucks is no secret. All they have to do is to tell them "no". No soup for you. Makes them crazy for soup. Makes you crazy for soup. Gives us soup and be quick about it! Give us all the soup you capitalist lackey! Infidel! Sodomite! Not a good as donuts though.
All the while we good citizen shudder with expectation. Just how bad do they have to make it to get the rest of the greedy sobs to forget about the condom in their wallet? You can hear them can't you comrades? Ha, ha, we screwed you, we own you! You're OUR bitch now! To which we coolly reply: poison pill. You know the kind. Green. Oblong. Dead presidents. All seeing eye. Welcome to our world.
Rest easy good citizen, the party is just getting started. The Robed Ones are upset that oil is 130 a barrel? Not likely. The MAS are as corrupt as they come. Neither are a match for our party of cut-throats. It's good to be in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Cause we are so close to the land of the Maple Leafs and Aztecs if all else fails.
Do you think that if we can get all cell phone users to text a random sequence of numbers and letters all at the same time, we could short circuit big brother's sky net? Goldstein is only here to assist the cause, because, that's what enemies of the state do.
