4 of 6 Democratic State Senators Now Supporting Kerry
October 07, 2003

Manchester -

State Senator Iris Estabrook (D-District 21) today announced her decision to back John Kerry in his campaign for President, giving Kerry the support of four of the six Democratic State Senators in New Hampshire.

“I have watched the Democratic candidates for president before a variety of different audiences over the past six months, and it is clear to me that John Kerry is the one who can beat George Bush. Even more importantly, it is clear that John Kerry can put this country back on the right track, on jobs, education, health care, the environment, foreign policy, and national security, because John Kerry is the one candidate with long experience and vision on both domestic and national security issues,” said Sen. Estabrook. “Through his service as a U.S. Senator, John Kerry understands the seriousness of the threats to our national security, and as a decorated combat veteran he also understands the seriousness of the use of military force.”
