1. an uninformed question
okay, this may sound stupid to some of the people here, but i have a question about ads like this (that is, paid for by a group in support of a candidate): I know the new ads put out by a candidate personally have to in some way make not that the candidate "approves this message" (like Dean said in his first Iowa ad). under the new campaign finance laws, to 3rd paty ads like this have to have any type of similar endorsement by the candidate? (

someone's gotta know here, right?

thanks.
