My plan to dramatically increase the effect of our email activism

Senator Cosgrave went ballistic and said that the people on the internets were "abusing" him over his idea to criminalize the failure to report a miscarriage.

According to this article:
http://home.hamptonroads.com/stories/story.cfm?story=80370&ran=43780

Cosgrave says he received 500 emails.

This raises two questions for me:

1) The best we can do is 500 emails?

2) It only takes 500 emails for Cosgrave to declare himself "abused"?

I know people who get 200 spam emails every day and they just shrug it off.

Cosgrave gets 500 emails and he curls up into a ball and hides?

If that's all it takes, we need a better system of sending at least 500 emails to people on the issues that matter.

I have an idea.

If anyone is really good with things like PERL and other computer-related acronyms, please send me a private message.

I am grinning ear to ear with what I think is a truly brilliant plan.
