I just thought of another possibe way to get info/links out. SF's Chronicle features two columnists Harley Sorrenson (I think that's the wrong first name) and Mark Morford who has been very outspoken in their criticism of Bush et al.
Are there columnists in your local press that you think could be good choices for asking that that they cover or provide a link for the petition?
