But I talked to my brother, who works in country radio. Despite the image, Swift is apparently a very talented artist with a tremendous work ethic and a dedication to her craft. She worked her way up the old fashioned way, playing clubs and country fairs and beating down the doors of radio stations since she was in her early teens. It's a mistake to lump her in with the Disney pop tarts.
