How do you deal with a chatterbox?

I was sitting at Starbucks the other day having my coffee trying to enjoy my book, and unfortunately, some lady was sitting at the table next to me, blabbering on and on and on about the most trivial, irrelevant stuff to a companion at her table (who looked bored to tears). She was talking loudly and just rambling on with run-on sentence after run-on sentence. I finally got up and quietly moved to the other end of the coffee shop.

It can also be especially annoying when these people have an annoying tone of voice. I recently worked with a woman who had a voice that sounded like someone sounds when they suck on a helium balloon. Her squeaky voice was so annoying that I always found a way to excuse myself from the room whenever she was there.
