I did my clinical at a Seventh-Day Adventist hospital, which meant there was no caffeine served in the cafeteria, vending machines, anywhere. I started having symptoms like this b mid-afternoon every day. One of the nurses on the oncology unit where I was working asked me if I usually drank caffeine. I said I drank both tea and coke quite a lot. She and a doctor at the station both suggested I bring a tea bag of can of pop with caffeine for lunch the next day. I did, and felt fine that afternoon. I mentioned this to the doctor, and he said I was addicted. He made some suggestions for easing off, but I was worried about the quality of my work (and grade) suffering. So, I thanked him kindly, and brought tea bags to work every day.
