The moon comes up, he pulls his truck off the interstate
Into a truck stop lot, writes his log and puts the book away

When the kids get fed and bathed and in bed she starts missing him
Sits in his easy chair ‘cause he’ll sit there when he’s home again

It helps her to pretend
